The Maryland Gazeteer for 1906 says that Lutherville was a “station on the North Central Railway, situated in Baltimore County, 2 ½ miles northwest of Towson Court House, the location of the nearest bank, and 10 [miles] north of Baltimore. Population, 600. Stage to Towson four times a day.”
