The pastoral setting of the entrance to the Hunt Valley Town Center shopping mall is inviting to shoppers traveling along York Road just north of Shawan Road.
The shopping mall itself has undergone transitions through the years. It is now a modern “town center” style of shopping center with upscale stores in a clean and comfortable setting. Hunt Valley Town Center is now one of the most popular places to shop along the York Road Corridor.
Hunt Valley is served by the Cockeysville, MD Post Office. And, according to the Wikipedia, “Many Baltimore County residents claim that Hunt Valley doesn’t actually exist—it is often grumbled that ‘Hunt Valley’ is a fanciful name cooked up by real estate developers during the development of the area in the ’70s and ’80s; that is, “Hunt Valley” is more of a name brand than an actual place.“
